Blood follows Ida, an up and coming painter, as she is diagnosed with a rare, incurable and terminal blood disease called Porphyria.
Devastated and confused, she retreats to a friend's farmhouse where she suffers ghastly symptoms like blistering, nausea, nose bleeds and hallucinations to name a few.
She discovers common things, like alcohol, stress, sometimes light and even clothing or touch can bring on "attacks". She is soon faced with an impossible decision, either accept her new life, or lose it.
